We now offer hypnotherapy from a qualified therapist. This can be extremely effective when dealing with issues such as stress, anxiety and confidence building along with many others. For more details about this service please contact Christie on 07523910090 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
During hypnotherapy you enter an altered state of awareness. This isn’t something unusual in fact we experience altered states of awareness everyday e.g when listening to music or just before we go to sleep. In this state any suggestions made will register with the unconscious part of the brain and can address problems that are often deep seated. As a result it can be much more effective than other therapies which only deal with the conscious part of the brain.
If you are suffering from stress or anxiety or are lacking in confidence hypnotherapy can be very effective for converting these negative thoughts and feelings into positive ones. Often these thoughts and feelings are your brains way of protecting you but over time they can become problematic. By using hypnosis we address these negative thoughts and feelings feelings and use positive suggestions to establish more beneficial thought patterns.
Each session can vary in length and content. The first session will usually be the longest and will be more about finding out about you as a client and talking a little bit more about hypnotherapy and how it can help you. In this session it will also give you the opportunity to ask any questions or raise any concerns you may have. The session will end with a short progressive relaxation under hypnosis. Other sessions following on from this will be tailored to your specific issues and will differ from client to client.
You will remain in control at all times. It is you the client that makes the positive change, the therapist only gives you the positive suggestions for your conscious mind to take on board. If any suggestion goes against any of your core beliefs then you would simply dismiss it like you would in the waking state.
You will definitely wake up at the end of each session, or before if required to do so. Although it can appear to be like going to sleep it is quite different. Instead of the senses becoming lessened like in sleep they actually become heightened as does the brain activity.
